Quite weirdly, sometimes steam doesn’t open games when a Joystick has been plugged in. Feb 18, 2017  Just saw the same issue on a mac running 10.9.5, removing Steam.AppBundle from /Library/Application Support/Steam forced a redownload and fixed the problem. Thought I'd leave it here if someone bumps into a similar situation. Just had this same issue on 10.13.5 deleted the Steam.AppBundle and it seems to have worked.

As a new MacBook owner and user, I really need your help.

I have en new MacBook Pro 13' 2,9 GHz Model no. A1502, and I bought some games via steam.

Okay, so here's the deal. I'm running Mac 10.7.5 on a mid-2007 macbook. Downloaded Steam for the first time yesterday. I move the icon to the apps folder, double-click, and a box pops up and it starts downloading an update (almost 100kbs). Oct 20, 2016  UPDATE: Updating Mac OS X fixed the issue! I hope this helps everyone out! I am Running El Capitan and Steam refuses to load the store, community, profiles, etc. I have tried everything, force closing Steam, rebooting the computer, applying for Steam Beta, clearing my Download Cache, and even partially uninstalling Steam. Nothing works.

So I downloaded steam and installed it. But when I try to open the Steam application, it just freezes, on the first steam screen picture and wouldn't load the program at all (See the screenshot). I have tried to delete and reinstall steam, but nothing happens. My question is; Am I doing something wrong or are there some program that you have to install alongside steam to run it??

I really hope you can help..
